In the following paintings I explored the interaction between the urban space and my paintings. Having my paintings interact with the public space has shifted the dialogue it creates. The work becomes accessible, less glorified as a painting and enters a space of advertisement which complements the work as I am focusing (mainly but not entirely) on how Europe and North America market and sell paradise and how we market ourselves to others.

I'm interested in using advertising language to somehow twist the way we’re advertised from both ends. Speak their language but vulgarize it, change the narrative. I want to continue to explore the way in which the work interacts with public spaces and I understand that this is really just a starting point for me and my artistic process. (354).png
